"Plunging into the darkness, but with a sentimentality that reads almost like a bedtime story, Adams strikes true with this explosive debut. With a fast pace and cinematic action, Sword of Vengeance is a thrill ride. Perfect for fans of morally grounded heroes, immersive fantasy worlds, and stories where the line between good and evil is as sharp as the sword being wielded. Now is the perfect time to discover this gripping debut." — Tellest

"A gripping, high-stakes fantasy quest with heart, magic, and unforgettable characters."

”I was lucky enough to receive an ARC of Sword of Vengeance, and I’m still reeling from how good it was. This book has everything I love in epic fantasy—rich world-building, a tortured hero, dark magic, and a looming apocalypse-level threat.

Gerald Caelen is such a compelling protagonist. A newly sworn knight still haunted by the betrayal that destroyed his family, he’s thrust into a desperate mission to rescue a captured prince and stop an immortal warrior-mage from taking over the mortal world. The emotional weight Gerald carries, along with the banter and tension among his companions (including a VERY intriguing assassin), kept me totally invested.

The action is cinematic, the lore feels ancient and immersive, and the final act had me holding my breath. Adrian Zartun is a villain I loved to hate—equal parts terrifying and magnetic. And the ending?? Let’s just say I need book two ASAP.

If you’re into sweeping fantasy adventures with dark undertones and well-developed characters, Sword of Vengeance will absolutely deliver. Highly recommend for fans of Sanderson, Gwynne, and old-school quest fantasy with a modern twist.”

“I felt the novel moved quickly, keeping the focus on high stakes and constant momentum (which I loved), while keeping the story balanced with Gerald’s internal conflict between duty and vengeance created emotional depth to the journey. Fans of classic fantasy (such as LOTR, GoT, Sword of Truth ) with familiar elements such as knights, sorcery, and a looming battle between light and darkness will find this a compelling and entertaining read just as I did!”- talesandterracotta

“Sword of Vengeance was the kind of fantasy I didn’t realize I’d been craving until I was already knee‑deep in swords, armor, and the slow building of a quest‑bound companionship. Chris Adams pulled me straight back to my teen years with Dungeons & Dragons and Dragonlance, when epic quests easily won out over Algebra homework. Some things never change — because now I’m leaving dishes in the sink and paperwork beside my laptop as I follow Gerald Caelen on his journey to defeat Adrian Zartun.

This is the kind of High Fantasy that still works for me: a clear goal, a dangerous path, dark magic shaping the world, and characters who must stay alive, stay true to themselves, and fight back against the evil pressing in on all sides. It’s not about potions or romance or creature‑collecting — it’s about people wrestling with consequences, surviving the fallout of choices they never wanted to make, and pushing forward anyway.” -redreviewsforyou
